A lot of you probably got the scrunched faces, wondering why this car made Speedhunters, much less why I’m pointing it out. Plain and simple, Matt CHARGES. Him and his other San Diego drift “mates” (for lack of a better term) are probably the most dedicated drifters I’ve come across on a personal level. He’s probably attended more private drift events to hone his skills than many others with more sponsors and “better” cars. Go over and peep the article, Linhbergh did a good job of explaining what I’m trying to convey.
SLAMMED…and that’s the same height he runs in competition! Good luck to Mattycakes this weekend at Formula D! Bring it home for San Diego!
…are finally together. It’s been a hot minute since I really did anything to my car, but I picked up this Recaro SR3 awhile back and needed to install it. Luckily a friend of mine had an older model Bride Type SL rail lying around, but I quickly realized that the older rail pattern wasn’t the same as the Recaro seat. Luckily for me, Shino @ Tees USA (Bride Seats) was able to help me acquire their “import adaptors” (part #P21NPO for those curious). These plates bolt up directly to the seat as shown, using tapered bolt holes and bolts for flush mounting.
If you’re curious why I’m running a Bride rail and not a Bride seat, I would’ve if I could have fit into one of the Bride buckets back when I was shopping for a driver seat. Knowing my luck, nowadays if you are a hearty sized American, Bride has released the Zeta III XL, which is wider. Anyhow, getting back to the rails, the older model Bride SL rail attaches to those plates with included bolts / washers.
Ah, all done! Another reason I chose to use Bride rails is due to their lowness. If you’re not familiar with the 240sx, there is very little headroom after installing any seat other than stock, so it’s key to sit as low as possible. All the other available brands of seat rails (bottom mount ones, that is) sit too high, but this setup left a lot of headroom.
Mike over at M2 Motoring gave me the heads up for an event this weekend over at Irwindale Speedway. All you Scion heads should probably already be aware, but go check it out and support what should be a good turnout (he said over 400+ cars)! You can view more info about the event by clicking here.
Special appearance also by the beautiful homegirl Ashley Sarto!
I love this shot of the car. It’s a good example of how to modify a luxury car with aggressive style, but retain the high end extravagance of the Lexus brand.
I want to say I wish he wouldn’t sell it, but at the same time I know that a new car for Freddie can only mean something bigger and deffer. Whoever buys this car gets an instant show winner, not to mention a general jaw dropping automobile.
If you’ve ever seen the car in person, you’ll know the attention to detail he’s got into this car…and his Garson white fur / brown leather seats. So over the top, but oh so necessary.
He recently changed up his wheel game, ditching his multipiece setup and going with the one piece AME FS-01 in Bronze.
S-Chassis owners don’t sleep! Can’t go wrong with flush wheels and a concave face. He’s running spacers front and rear to match the front Vertex wide fender and healthy roll in the back. Peep the JDM EGO license plate + sticker!
Bronze on black is a tried and true color combo, as you can see. Keep up the good work Dennis!
Good footage, finally some touge video that isn’t shaky or some passenger holding the camera.
On a side note, I’ve been seeing a rise in the push of a purpose built camera for racing (here in the states), so it should hopefully result in people recording good footage of themselves.
And while I’m sack riding on Rob, here’s another cool vid I found on a recent post….makes me either want to get bags and/or drink a soda.
Late last year I posted up one of the Risky Devil crew’s IS300 sitting on Sapphire Black FS-01’s. For what I’m guessing is for ghits and siggles, they threw them on this NSX. Not ideal front fitment (duh), but rear looks all g (obviously tire size is from the stretched IS300 setup, but if you threw a fatty on there….not too shabs!)
(Click on image for a larger view. Not like they need another link, but peep their site if you’ve been under a rock @ Risky Devil)

Also, please no requests like the one D.O.M got where some 22 y/o kid asked him for his S15 FOR FREE. I damn near spit out my drink at how fuggin ridiculous that was. That kid should put HIMSELF on blast, cause I ain’t gonna do it.
It seems as though a lot of readers think that I, Dom, still write for Original Made. Let me make this incredibly clear so that I may feel guiltless for chastising anyone who still doesn’t get it…
SINCE DECEMBER OF 2007, I HAVE NOT WRITTEN FOR ORIGINAL MADE.
To be fair, the second to last line which reads, “this shall be my last post of 2007 and beyond,” may not have been blindingly obvious to some of you. Nevertheless, I hope this clears up any confusion regarding the matter.
And as a last note, Kent wished that I mention his non-affiliation as well. For your information, if you want to know who the author of a particular post is, it’s listed next to the date.
I now return you to the musings of Logan aka “Rogansan,” the sole author of Original Made for practically a year now.
The homie Kwame @ Z1 Performance gave me the heads up on this clean white Z on TM-02’s. Car is owned by a L.A native “prheemo,” who bought this set of AME’s after his previous wheels were stolen :(
Can’t go wrong with concave wheels.
I’ve always been a fan of Z’s. Doesn’t take a whole lot of work to make look nice, all you need is wheels and suspension.
Fitment is a 19×9.5+22 F / 19×10.5+22 R, and tire sizing is 255/35/19 F & 285/35/19 R. Finish is Gunmetal Black.
I came across these pics of a shop Dent Sport Garage in Boston, MA. I know I know, the HDR shots are kinda overused these days, but I had to do a double take on this one…I almost thought it was a painting at first, and the Endless flag caught my eye as well. That 2002 is ill, I’ve always wanted one (sorta), and supposedly they’re dropping a SR20 into that one.
I know of Dent Sport due to this car, which is probably one of the most fabricated (on) 240sx I’ve come across. A ton has gone into this car, and it’s good to see a different 240sx but with functionality and purpose.
Oh, not much…except SEE THE GZA LIVE IN CONCERT (!!!). So insane, not 3 hours before the show I get a phone call from my boy Tree @ Buddy Club telling me about this concert going down. You gotta understand, I am a die hard Wu Tang Clan fan, ever since I was young (golden age hip hop till I die). Liquid Swords EASILY makes my top 10 albums of all time. This was one of the best shows I’ve ever been to in general, and GZA murdered it doing all of his classics.
Tickets were only $20 bucks! GZA for $20 is a no brainer, and his special guest was none other than Killah Priest. The venue at the Detroit Bar was a cozy one, there was no line to get in, and everyone there was down to hear legendary music. No one got shot, no one did anything stupid, and it was really just a perfect night for hip hop.
Shout out also to Tobin & Jaren from DSport mag, who we rolled out to the concert with.
