endlessdriver.jpgWe’ve finalized designs on 2 more Endless tees thanks to Turn3 Creative. The first one is kinda dope. It’s a photo tee with an Endless driver huge on the side of the shirt that partially wraps around to the back.

footworkexpertise.jpgThis one sorta pays homage to that one Alphanumeric tee with the Honda motor. Remember that? I’d see lots of people wearing those at Ken’s shows and trip out. Next level cross over type ish imo. So yeah, this is a footwork assembly on the lower back with Endless brakes, ZEAL coilovers, the AME FS-01, and Neova tread. Dom had to have the Neova tread..

b18c.jpgI found this pic and jacked it off of SuperFuture. Those were the days. I wanted one of these sooo bad. I hope history repeats itself in some form or shape. Our tees will be available only to shops and on GRYMRKT, Turn3, and a few others around mid June.

skipper.jpgLes Wong’s car is sooooper low. Unbelievably, undriveably low. Luckily, they have this thing called the Roberuta Cup. We got these sent to us from our friends over at Skipper Japan. It’s essentially air suspension for your coilovers. Take off the upper mount and insert it onto the spring. These fit right onto our ZEAL Function-Xs coilovers although the clearance up front is pretty tight and we had to increase preload.

lesndavid.jpgThat’s Les on the right and David Huang on the left. 2 of the nicest people around. Les also has the camoflauge RX-7 which I believe may have started a camoflauge microtrend with cars. This was at the VIP show last year.

nsx.jpgHere’s Les’ next project. Notice how low the front portion of the side skirts are to the ground. And that’s with quite a bit of wheel gap.

skipper2.jpgAir suspension is cool for luxury, but here’s an alternative for the sporty cats. Theoretically, it’s supposed to keep that true coilover performance while giving you the ability to raise up. We’ll see how the ride feels as well as how high this thing raises once the compressor and tank are installed. This Roberuta Cup doesn’t actually fit our mold, but it may prove useful for certain situations. I’ll try and keep you updated on how this pans out..

r4close.jpgStaggered piston sizes for even pad surface wear. Plus the surface area is correctly-sized for that non-mushy pedal feel.

r4close2.jpgInner dust seals keep the dust and debris out and the RF-650 fluid in.

csquare.jpgOur first shipment of CraftSquare mirrors came in today. The boxes are OMG light. The craftsmanship is unequalled. You can’t go wrong with these. Have a safe and stress-free Memorial weekend.

hyphydrift.jpgHere’s a sneak peek of one of the tees from the Hyphy Drift Unit series. Gold foil. Limited quantities and set to be released at only a handful of shops including our very own GRYMRKT. Once released, these should go “UBER” quick.

I can’t believe I just posted a picture of Tein despite my disdain for their brand and especially their damn dampachi doll.. Nevertheless, this photo is up here because of a point I wish to argue, which is that the industry we work in has an extreme lack of professionalism. A simple example can be found at events such as D1, GT Live or Formula D. I loathe the fact that staff from certain companies wear whatever the hell they want when they’re working these things. Sad to say, but Tein does it the way it should be. Everyone wears black slacks, a tein pit crew shirt and a tein jacket. Like I said, despite my hatred for Tein, I have to tip my hat to them for this aspect.

This is a little extreme since it’s Formula 1, but imagine this pit crew in random T-shirts and jeans. Would you take them seriously if they weren’t wearing their Ferrari gear?
My other gripe is the communication deficiency found in the majority of the industry. For those impaired in this area, here’s a few general tips to help prevent people like me from becoming pissed off.. 1) Return phone calls from people that wish to speak with you. That’s why they call you, to speak with you. 2) There’s no excuse for not returning E-mails since there’s internet access at even Mc Donald’s these days. 3) Should you actually return people’s phone calls or E-mails, answer the questions they want answers to, not ones you make up on your own. 4) If you say you’re going to do something, do it. Sell yourself short and over deliver.
There’s so many other issues that I won’t even get into or else I’ll pop a vein in my forehead. It’s no wonder why our industry and entire culture is frowned upon. It’s run by a bunch of incompetent, unprofessional kids. News for you guys, you need to step your game up.

My apologies to Fred and JTuned for jacking these pics, but they’re the best pics of these cars out there.. so I had to use them. Don’t hate me Fred!
Anyway, the reason for these throwbacks is that Vertex USA just launched their newly redesigned website.

What I love in particular about their site, other than the really big slideshow of cars at the top, is their dedicated page to discouraging knock-offs. People, don’t buy stuff like Origin, Version Select or other obvious Vertex copies.. Bodyshops hate them because of fitment problems, pinholes and waves. The money you “save” by buying copies you’ll lose in paying for the bodyshop to fix all the flaws. But enough of my ranting..
Anyway, for all your stylin’ sideways needs hit up Vertex USA (Speed Alliance) in sunny San Diego.

waldsticker.jpg
Yay. My Wald kit arrived.

waldkit.jpg
I’m paying for packaging..which is fine. Everything is so neatly bagged, bubble wrapped, taped, etc. Fiberglass..thin and quality. Have you ever seen a container with just body kits? Literally. Stacked from top to bottom. No packaging. Just a container..and kits..laying on top of each other. All cracked and scratched up and bent. How do you plan to make it look clean?
Crazy..
