fujis1.jpgThis particular food post has been long overdue. Fuji’s Famous Burgers, Teriyaki & Avocado in Huntington Beach is very much appreciated by the locals. Everyone comes here. It’s a cozy and humble yet busy joint tucked away in a small plaza not far from the new Bella Terra outdoor mall. What makes this place special to me is that it is owned by one of my closest friends. During my early college years, I’d work the morning shift, go to class, then come back and work the night shift sometimes pulling 40 hour work weeks while taking classes.

fujis2.jpgIf you happen to be in the soccer mom capitol of the world and like good affordable food including, but not limited to avocados, teriyaki chicken, fried chicken, teriyaki beef, chashu, fried shrimp..you can pretty much have any of that. Whether it be a hamburger (ie, double avocado teriyaki bacon cheseburger), a taco (ie, avocado shrimp taco), a sandwich (ie, avocado teriyaki beef and bacon sandwich on armenian bread), a bowl or plate (ie, teriyaki beef and shrimp plate) or even a chicken salad, it’s not uncommon to see a line out the door during lunchtime with people waiting to get their grub on.

fujis3.jpgFuji’s was also known to hire eyecandy for workers which back in the day brought in locals by the packs. If you’re in Huntington Beach, cruise through and tell them I sent you. Good and affordable food produced by good and humble people. All day everyday. Except Sunday. Right behind the Coco’s on the NW corner of Gothard/Edinger.
